PHANTOM
Retractable
screens for
doors, windows and large
openings will
be featured
by Phantom
Screens in
Las Vegas.
Screens can
easily be
integrated into
OEM products and provide the functionality of conventional screens, but can be retracted so they are out-of-sight
when not needed. Additionally, the retractable screen
solutions increase occupant access to natural ventilation
and daylight, while providing a reduction of heat and glare
from direct sunlight and solar reflective structures, according to a company. The company will highlight its wide
selection of mesh types and color options.
P.H. TECH
Designed to provide manufacturers with access to
new markets with minimal
investment, the PVC-Alu
window is a complete PVC
window in itself with an
aluminum cladding that’s
managed as a new color,
the supplier explains. To
be introduced in Las Vegas,
the new P.H. Tech line offers a range of colors with
a top-quality look without
requiring an overhaul of
the production floor. PVC
parts are manufactured without any changes. The only
new equipment required is for the aluminum cladding at
the end of the line. The easy-to-assemble system ensures
competitive delivery times. Aluminum parts have corner keys to ensure a perfect 45° angle. Aluminum parts
also offer versatility, to reduce inventory and ordering
costs, the supplier points out. Sash cladding for casement
windows, for example, can be used to clad the frames
of hung windows, and the hung window frame extensions can be used to make panoramic windows. The new
system enables manufacturers to attract a new clientele of
architects and access the institutional and light commercial projects markets.

BESTEN
The T.A.P.E.
MT1500 insulating
glass unit production line enables
manufacturers to
produce between
650 and 750
triple IG units or
between 1,400 and
1,600 double IG units per shift on a single line, via parallel
glass processing and spacer application on a horizontal
bed, according to the supplier. To be highlighted by
Besten in Las Vegas, the line features two applicators that
each apply flexible, warm-edge spacers to the inside edge
of the outer glass lites of a triple IG unit. The intermediate center lite passes through the application bed, and
the three lites are assembled into a triple IGU via tilting
air float assembly tables. Fabricators have the option to
produce offset triples by loading the two applicator heads
with spacers of different widths. They can utilize one or
both applicators for double IGU production, with dual applicator production enabling nearly double the capacity.
AMERICAN RENOLIT
Exofol FX brand decorative film for window profiles,
which replaces the Fast brand, is being featured by Ameri-can Renolit in Las Vegas. The film features a base layer of
polymethyl methacrylate that now includes solar shield
technology, using infrared reflective pigments that reduce
heat buildup. Two transparent top layers of Exofol FX
include a middle layer of PMMA and top layer of polyvinyl
fluoride film. These layers allow IR rays to pass through,
while the SST pigments in the base film reflect them. This
offers protection to the film, the glue line and the window profile, the company explains. With its low surface
tension, the PVDF layer protects against dirt, chemicals
and environmental pollutants.
